Slammer Registration

Dear Parents,

Attached is the registration packet for the Poway Slammers Wrestling Club. Please note that we have made a few changes to the registration process and have implemented a new website.

Registration Fees: $325 per wrestler per session

  • Fall Session: September-November (CLOSED)
  • Spring Session: March-May (coming soon)

Registration Methods:Register on-line at (payment secures your spot) 
Registration fee includes coaching fees, team singlet, T-shirt, practice shorts and USA Wrestling card.

Registration will be limited to approximately 40 for the younger group and 40 in the older group. Your spot is not confirmed until payment received. Poway Slammers typically sells out each year, it is suggested that you register and pay on-line to secure your spot.

The Poway Slammers Wrestling Club is part of the Poway Wrestling Foundation, a non-profit organization.
All funds received from registration fees and fundraisers go back into the program.
The Poway Slammers goals are to teach wrestling skills to youth age 5-14; promote sportsmanship and team camaraderie; promote physical fitness and prepare wrestlers for middle and high school programs.

Wrestlers will compete in Tournaments sponsored by the San Diego/Imperial County Wrestling Association (SDIKWA). All wrestlers are grouped by weight and age in tournaments. Practices are held in the Dr. Perry L. Munday Wrestling Center at Poway High School.

  • Slammers Younger group will practice from 5:30pm-6:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Slammers Older group will practice from 7:00pm-8:30pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Practices start Tuesday December 4, 2018 for the Younger Group and the Older Group.

The success of the Slammers depends heavily on its volunteer work force and all parents are needed to help. We do hire coaches for the program, but still need parent volunteers to help with other aspects of the program.

We will be having a Mandatory Parent Meeting for all “new” wrestlers in the Doc. Munday Wrestling Center at Poway High.

The New Parent Meeting will be Tuesday November 27th at 6PM for both age groups. If you are new to the program, please try to have at least one parent attend this meeting!

Please read all instructions carefully to ensure successful registration!

To register for Slammers follow these steps:

  1. Complete the Parent/Payer form and select the number of children you wish to register. Discounts for multiple children will be applied.
  2. Complete a Slammer form for each child you are registering.
  3. Provide payment using your credit or debit card or pay by check.

On-line payments are conducted via PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, you may use it to simplify your payment. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can still use PayPal to make a payment using your credit or debit card.

You make also pay by check. However, please be aware that your registration is not complete until we receive your payment. Paying by check will delay your registration and could result in loosing your spot if our program fills up before we receive your check.

Please complete the registration process without interruption. If you are interrupted and must step away from your computer for an extend period of time, the registration process may not complete properly. In this case, we recommend that you restart the registration process by clicking on Registration from the Slammers menu.

VERY IMPORTANT! - Do not use your browsers Back and Forward buttons during the Slammer registration process. You must use the navigation buttons provided on the registration pages to ensure a successful registration of your Slammer(s).
